gatheryourpeople: RINSED party @ Public Assembly

27 Feb

It was one of those nights when  I am just letting someone lead me to some party in Brooklyn, no plan of my own and no idea of what to expect this time at Public Assembly, I had no clue of what this RINSED party was supposed to be, I just know that RINSED reminds me of Shampoo… Whatever RINSED means, I like it. It’s  been a while since I’ve found myself in gahering of people and felt like somehow we are all on the same page, minus that ‘I’m too cool to even be here’ attitude that at times makes me want to smash my camera on someone’s face and tell them to go home and watch themselves on T.V. then… ( just violent thoughts sometimes, of course I would never do that, do not fear the lens).

My main party/good time technique:  When I reach the peak of my experience I randomly  start screaming like a rabid zombie and woohooing to the beat and this either scares those in my vicinity or makes them join me into a collective rabid zombie woohoo!!! I was so glad to discover that this was a Screamer friendly dance floor and that no one was freaked out by my natural behavior, C.o.o.L!!

I really enjoyed the great range of sound provided by JDH and Chris UK,  I don’t exactly remember what was playing when I first got the party around 10 15 PM, sorry I might have a memory problem but it can best be described as groovy… but then within the next 45 minutes or so I experienced the following sounds: TRIBAL, PROGRESSIVE, HOUSE, and  Destiny’s child’s ‘ Say My Name’. How does that even work? I don’t know but it just did. I chanted “Say my name, say my name, when no one is around you say baby I love you” and luckily I was surrounded by like 4 or 5 hot chicks, so I put my arms around them  and we sang together in a little cumbaya type circle of passion… I mean drunken happiness. LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE RINSED!!!
